Compared to today’s standards, this bedroom really isn’t very large. However, we were still able to accommodate several vignette spaces throughout for modern functionality and ultimate relaxation.
When I think of a globetrotting couple, the first people to come to mind are my grandparents. My grandfather was in the publishing industry and so he became my inspiration for the bureau area.
There are two hidden features in this photo: The Samsung Frame TV blends seamlessly with the gallery wall. And there is a beverage cooler inside the console table.
The grooved lilac tiles that create the backdrop for this shower were arranged to mimic the trees you see on the African Savannah.
When designing this room, we were determined to showcase a different side of ourselves. Nowhere is that more prevalent than in this wallpaper. It may have been somewhat risky but we are extremely pleased with the result.
Courtney designed these one-of-a-kind vanities and they were fabricated by a local artisan in Los Angeles. They were crafted to look like a repurposed piece of heirloom furniture. The paneling on the front looks like a chest of drawers, but really they open like a pair of French doors. The best part is that hiding behind them are 3 levels of deep bucket drawers.
