Open concept office space, paneled wall with built-in TV, two fun redheads.
This location and space was a lucky find on Foothill Blvd. Open concept layout and lots of natural light were high on my list of requirements. This space has both. +
Aside from our individual work desks and the attached resource room, I knew we’d be spending lots of time at a conference table in meetings with clients, reviewing samples and drawings and presenting design concepts on the TV so a big table we can sprawl across sits front and center in the space under a gold cage chandelier. Sitting at the table, we feel fueled by the rest of the room’s inspiration: the light, airy colors: cream, teal and gold, the John Ruskin architectural prints on the back wall and the photos of past projects reminding us to keep dreaming big.

I centered my desk, the conference table and the overhead chandelier off the back, focal wall which happens to be centered off the office french doors. In case you hadn’t noticed, I like symmetry.
I replaced the old fluorescent box lights with recessed lighting and the chandelier and added paneling to one wall both for interest and to incorporate a built-in TV we use for presentations. The drape on the far wall softens the space and covers electrical boxes I couldn’t relocate.
The resource room does double duty. Behind the skirted counter is a small fridge and pullout organizer carts that hold snacks and office supplies. The desk to the right is a drafting table that can be raised for standing use and hides a file cabinet below.
